a zoom talk by Peter Brierley

This talk is an opportunity to explore the human personality and its makeup. Why does everybody have a unique personality, is it possible to improve it or does karma mean we are stuck with our personality, and its consequences for life? Are our personalities inherited from our parents? What happens to our personality when we die? These questions will be explored in detail and how the Theosophical teachings help us understand the role of the personality on our spiritual journey.

Peter joined the Theosophical Society in 2015. Peter was drawn to Theosophy after studying and participating experientially with the Interfaith Foundation, in the world religions and found himself specifically attracted to the mystical teachings. Peter is Secretary of Blavatsky Lodge and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Theosophical Society England and Wales.

Peter has travelled widely as an IT manager for 22 years, working for large American banks, living in Japan and Hong Kong. In later life he retrained as a holistic swimming & Alexander Technique teacher. Peter, now retired lives with his wife in Hertfordshire.
