– a zoom talk by Terri King
Many of us find ourselves leading busy and demanding lives whereby we cannot put aside the time to practice meditation or our minds cannot stay still enough. Others of us may find that as soon as we start to meditate we drift off into dreamland and cannot remain awake and alert enough. Whichever the case, it becomes easy to lose sight of the whole point of meditation.
To assist with this, Terri will begin by referring to points made by HP Blavatsky in her famous ‘Diagram of Meditation’. She will also draw on comments made by other spiritual teachers and give pointers with the aim of providing encouragement for establishing meditation as a part of our lives and a well worthwhile practice to pursue.
Terri King has been a member of the Theosophical Society since 2009, and has had a natural, ongoing curiosity and interest in the study of spiritual subjects since she was young. Over the course of her time with the Society, she has enjoyed attending the Summer Schools as well as many Theosophical study weekends, gaining many insights which she has a deep sense of gratitude and fulfilment.
In recent years she has given a number of talks at Headquarters on behalf of the Blavatsky Lodge and she continues to attend regular study sessions with the Lodge. Terri regularly practices Qi Gong, Meditation, and Sanskrit Chanting. Her personal interests include Family, Vedic Astrology, Sanskrit, Gardening, and Interior Design.
