PROPHECY AND PREDICTION
BY PROF. NICHOLAS GOODRICK-CLARKE.
Esoteric theories of Precognition from Nostradamus to the Present. The 16th century was rich in divinatory works. The famous Swiss alchemist and magus Paracelsus published many almanacs, and the prophecies of Nostradamus are still in print. How did they explain the power of prophecy? The massive evidence for prediction and precognition in the twentieth century has led to theories of seriality, meaningful coincidence, the Tao, and synchronicity involving ideas of cosmic unity, correspondences and sympathy. The lecture shows the persistence and importance of esoteric ideas advanced by the 16th century seers.
Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke is Professor of Western Esotericism at Exeter University. His many published books include works entitled Paracelsus, Helena Blavatsky, and Emanuel Swedenborg.
THE INTENTION EXPERIMENT
BY LYNNE MCTAGGART
Use Your thoughts to Change the World and Your Life In her new book, The Intention Experiment, Lynne McTaggart picks up where her ground-breaking bestseller The Field left off. It offers some of the very latest scientific evidence about the power of your own thoughts and mind-blowing new evidence about the nature of reality. From the science, Lynne has also extrapolated a detailed programme and tonight shows you how to ‘power up’ to direct your thoughts, to increase the activity and strength of your intentions, and to effect genuine change in your life. She also invites you to take part in your own personal and ongoing international on-line group experiments, under the direction of well- known scientists.
Lynne McTaggart is Editor of the pioneering magazine, What Doctors Don’t Tell You.
THE GNOSTIC GOSPEL OF JUDAS BY GEORGE WOOD
Lost for over 1800 years the Gnostic Gospel of Judas has not been seen since it was condemned as ‘heresy’ by Irenaeus in 180 A D. This Gospel presents a radical reinterpretation of the spiritual relationship between Jesus and Judas. Far from being the most maligned person in history Judas is presented as the only apostle who understood who Jesus really was. There is also a startling re-appraisal of the ignorance of the other apostles whom Jesus condemns as unwittingly worshipping the demiurge/prince of this world.
George Wood has led occasional courses in Gnostic Christianity at the Theosophical Society in London.
THE SNAKE AND THE ROPE BY DR EDI BILIMORIA,
February 2007 (Book Launch)
Science claims to be objective and to deal only with proven facts, but the innumerable conflicting theories that science propounds remain unresolved. In his book, briefly outlined tonight, the author, an engineer and musician, argues with ample supporting evidence that since time immemorial the universal secret wisdom of the Adepts has held answers to all unresolved problems and explains mysteries concerning Divinity, Space and Time, Energy and Matter, and the role of Sound and Light in manifesting the Cosmos. He also makes predictions about the future course of science and suggests how science and occult science may be harmonized.
PATH OF DISCIPLESHIP IN THE NEW AGE BY SARAH MCKECHNIE
Discipleship can be defined as the stage of the path of evolution in which the aspirant knowingly pledges to impose the will of the soul upon the lower nature. In the new age this commitment to cooperation with the soul will increasingly be expressed through group responsibility and world service.
Sarah McKechnie is General Secretary of the Lucis Trust and is Editor of its magazine, The Beacon.
RESONANCES OF THE COSMOS BY JAMES D’ANGELO
Any model of our universe (the one Word) is ultimately vibrational, a cosmic harp spawning an infinite web of frequencies. Their interplay creates a multiplicity of proportions, giving rise to various forms and language. It finds its natural microcosmic model in audible and speculative music as well as holistic sound for harmonizing spirit, mind and body.
James D’Angelo is author of the The Healing Power of the Human Voice.
SELF REALIZATION IN A TECHNOLOGICAL AGE BY PETER BARTON
We live in an age of Technology and take it very much for granted; we do not always appreciate its essential role in easing the daily round and giving us more leisure time – time which could be used for exploring the deeps of our own being. That same Technology can also throw light on our aspirations for fulfilment, as well as emphasising its importance.
Peter Barton, is a former General Secretary of the Theosophical Society in England.

THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING AS EXPLAINED BY THE FOUR ELEMENTS AND FIVE TATTVAS BY GILL DORREN
Does the picture of Creation portrayed by scientists convey the whole Truth? Or do we need to look at the 4 forces of nature for a fuller explanation? The strong and weak nuclear forces, electromagnetism and gravity of modern science have parallels with the elements of fire, earth, air and water. But the ancient wisdom goes deeper still demonstrating the existence of a living consciousness throughout the cosmos.
Gill Dorren is Vice-President of the Astrological Lodge of London.

QUANTUM WORLDS BEYOND THE ATOM BY DOUGLAS BAKER
A mind that is stretched by a new idea can never go back to its original dimensions. – (Oliver Wendell Holmes) Theosophical ideas are at the forefront of emerging scientific thought and should provide necessary guidance and insight for investigators. THE NUMBER SEVEN THE BASIS OF ALL KNOWLEDGE BY ALAN HUGHES
If it is claimed that the number 7 is at the heart of all natural forms and processes, then is it not the greatest of mysteries? Must we simply shrug and say – well, that’s what the Masters teach, or can we grope some way towards an understanding of this fundamental of Nature?
Alan Hughes is a longstanding exponent of core theosophical teachings.
